1969 Corvette L88 Set for Texas Mecum Auctions

Here’s another gem that’ll have you dreaming of hitting the lottery again. The 1969 Corvette L88 Coupe, which will cross the blocks at the Mecum Auctions in Texas this month, is a thing of beauty in every sense of the word.

Restored in 2005 by the Nabers Brothers, its credentials include Bloomington Gold Certified in 2004, a NCRS Regional Top Flight award in 2004, and an invitation to the Bloomington Gold L88 Invasion Special Collection in 2008.

A look under the hood reveals the classic L88 427/430 HP V-8 engine matted to a M22 4-speed transmission. The exterior is painted in a Rare Tuxedo Black accented with a classic Black interior inside.

Even more, as one of only 116 L88 Corvettes produced in 1969, we are most certainly talking about a true American gem.
