Abandoned C4 Corvette Gets New Life
It almost boggles the mind that someone would just leave a 1995 Corvette out in a field. But according to the first video below, showing a dilapidated Corvette surrounded by weeds, that’s exactly what happened. This abandoned C4 was apparently left to sit in a field for almost half a decade, until one man decided to do the world a favor and restore it back to life.
C4s are making me feel old. They’ve pretty effectively become classics, with the oldest now over 30-years-old. And now seeing the word “restoration” associated with this body style makes me want to grab a bottle of multi-vitamins. The C4 may pre-date me by two years, but it was the Corvette I grew up with. It was the one I’d always known, especially by the time I knew I had a love of cars. Imagine my excitement then, by seeing the bright red C5 on the February 1997 edition of Road & Track.
Anyhow, this C4 restoration project is certainly one for the ages, and one which took ages — four years to be exact. There are four videos below documenting the process, so check them out, then let us know what you think.
