C6 Corvette Z06 Breaks Into the 7s in 1/4 Mile
Redline Motorsports builds some wicked fast cars, but this latest Corvette is a truly unruly machine. With a fully built 432, boosted by a pair of turbos, this C6 Z06 is making somewhere around 1500 horsepower. Sending the power to the rear tires is a two-speed Power Glide and the rear end has been swapped for a nine-inch diff. The result is a ¼ mile pass just a tick under 8 seconds at a speed that is damn near 180 mph.
The best part about this crazy contraption is that it is almost a street ready machine. It still has the full interior and working air conditioning. All you need to do is swap those drag radials for a standard set of rims and DOT tires and you are good to go. Oh, and don’t forget to pull that parachute off as well.
The car is theoretically good to make closer to 3000 horsepower, but the team is just starting to dial in the boost and tuning, they are only at 10 pounds now.
