The Vette is a 2-door, 2-person coupe with a manual convertible roof and glass rear window. The GT500 is also a 2-doors, but can seat 4 and uses a power convertible roof. Both models offer a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty and drivetrain, roadside and rust warranties. The Chevy is offered in 7 interior and 9 exterior color chips, the Ford in 1 interior and 7 exterior color chips.

Engine and Transmission

The 2009 Corvette is a bit more expensive than the GT500 and offers a powerful 6.2L V8 engine, 16-valve, overhead cam with 430 HP capacity and 434 pound-feet of torque.The 2009 Mustang GT500 is offered in a 5.4L, V8 engine, 32-valve, double overhead cam and 500 HP capacity and 480 pound-feet of torque. The Corvette is offered with a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed shiftable automatic tranmission, and the GT500 comes standard with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Comfort and Fuel Economy


The 2009 Corvette offers premium leather interior with bucket seating, while the GT500 sports standard leather interior with sport seating. Both models offer stimulated alloy or optional leather interior trim.
