C7 Aftermarket News: Racing Seat Mount From SCP
C7s are very quickly finding their way onto the track, both for track days and for the strip. To accommodate all that track time, Southern Car Parts now offers a racing seat bracket. Utilizing hardware from the original seat, this Brey-Krause racing seat mount can still use the regular 3-point seat belt, in addition to a 5- or 6-point racing harness setup, as opposed to completely (and illegally) forgoing the stock 3-point restraints.
The Brey-Krause mount will adapt to any style of racing seat, meaning you wont have to switch from your favorite manufacturer, and also offers at least some adjustments so you’re not stuck with an uncomfortable position. Speaking of position, it also mounts the seat as low as possible, helping with clearance for the all important helmet that you’ll be wearing during the seat’s proper use.
This is a must-have upgrade if you’re thinking of regularly doing any type of performance driving, regardless if it’s a Z51 or Z06. I’ve always said, there’s nothing to be ashamed about when it comes to safety equipment.
