C7 Corvette Stingray is Road & Track’s 2013 Performance Car of the Year

Man, this car is good. I am speaking, of course, about the 2014 C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. Why for the 1,096,567th time am I saying the new Corvette is good? Because it really is that good, but also because it has just won Road & Track’s first-ever Performance Car of the Year award.

In order to win Road & Track’s inaugural award, the Corvette Stingray had to beat the legends you see above … monumental masterpieces of engineering like the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series, Audi R8 V10 Plus, Nissan GT-R Track Edition, Jaguar F-Type V8 S, and Ferrari F12berlinetta among others. In that conglomeration of fine machinery (13 cars total), the Corvette was número uno. That has to make any Corvette enthusiast feel good, especially current C7 owners.
