C7 Corvette Versus Deer: Deer Wins
Dear people of the Midwest and Southwest where deer, elk, buffalo and moose abound in numbers greater than people,
When driving in these areas, please be reminded that deer and their kin have a nasty habit of failing to yield the right of way to cars. These animals believe that you, the automobile driver, should stop for them because they’re doing the planet a favor by not being a car-driving, Earth-polluting human.
You almost want to clip them due to their smugness.
However, I’m not here to tell you about playing Death Race with large, smug animals, but rather to talk to you about the dangers of deer; specifically deer you hit with your Corvette. One of our forum members, d_toll, was on their way to work yesterday morning at around 2 a.m. when a deer decided it would be a smug moron and ran out in front of the C7 Corvette.
Thankfully, d_toll was fine, but the car is definitely messed up, and it will be some time before the car is back up and running. Again, just be careful when you know there could be deer (or smug morons) around.
