Believe it or not, the C7 Corvette is still raking in awards.

But then again, that’s what winners do, which would explain why the 2016 Corvette Stingray has earned Kelley Blue Book’s award for Best Buys in the Performance Car segment for the second year in a row. And to top it off, this year’s list of competitors for the top spot included some pretty heavy contenders — the Mazda MX-5 Miata and the Ford Shelby GT350.

Some of the most talked about selling points for the C7 continue to be its price and the car’s appeal as both a thrilling sports car and an everyday driver, as highlighted in the Kelly Blue Book report and video below.

“While the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is not cheap — base price on our convertible test model starts at $64,400 — it remains an attainable dream that can go toe-to-toe with the Porsche 911, a car costing many thousands more,” writes Kelley Blue Book. “With its smart styling, strong resale and all-around abilities, the Corvette Stingray remains one of the best performance cars on the road today.”

Sure sounds like a winner to me.
