C7 on Display at the Petersen for Corvette’s 60th Anniversary
The Petersen Automotive Museum pulled out all the stops to celebrate the Corvette’s 60th birthday. I was a little disappointed that the General couldn’t spare an actual car?instead of the design study pictured here?because I was hoping to sit in the new cockpit. That said, I was blown away by the presence of this car has.
I’m not totally sold on the creases in the hood, but the design team did a hell of a job, and the long lines outside the museum?at one point, it was over an hour to get in the door’showed that even after more than half a century, people are still excited about America’s Sports Car.
