I’ve come under fire for some of my opinions on custom Corvettes, but I won’t back down on my views with this one. This lime-green atrocity with its makeshift truck bed should be covered up forever. If someone wants to be buried in a Corvette, let it be this one.
Yesterday we asked you what you think is the best-looking Corvette generation. I voted for the C3, which came in second place. I think later-model C3s hurt that generation in the rankings.
There’s likely to be debate over this one for years, and by “for years” I mean as many years as it will take for hell to freeze over.
I’m betting there’s no Corvette owner happier than Scott Bachmann right now. The 42-year-old just pulled off what I’m sure seemed like an impossible task when he first started tracking down an orange 1973 Stingray that his dad owned back in the ’70s.
OK, before anyone starts getting any funny ideas, I need you to know that simply saying you lost a 1969 Corvette some years ago isn’t going to fly to get this beauty.
