GM Issues Recall on 2005 – 2007 Model Year Corvettes
If you own a 2005 – 2007 Corvette, take note: General Motors has announced a recall that covers 111,889 Corvettes from those model years for potentially faulty low-beam headlamps.
$20 million in greenbacks sitting inside the safe of my choosing is definitely worth more to me than $20 million floating in space. Apple pie à la mode is worth significantly more to my taste buds than apple pie paired only with a plate. One look at this week’s Wednesday wallpaper, and suddenly the equation “1 + 1 = 3” begins making a lot more sense. Don’t be surprised if your computer desktop whispers, “I’m extra worthy” after you plaster these ‘Vettes and jets on your computer screen for the week. I mean, “‘Vettes and jets” — the combo even rhymes, so you know it was meant to be.
I’m not quite sure how I missed this one, but considering that it’s built on the beloved C6 platform, I figured it’s deserving of a few comments here, good or bad. The Soleil Anadi, hand-built in Italy, was showcased at the recent New York International Auto Show, and so far counts three owners in the Middle East as its exclusive customer base, according to a New York Times report.
Until we get confirmation of the C7 Z06’s performance madness, the C6 ZR1 still remains the high water mark of Corvette performance. The ZR1’s capabilities were helped in no small part to all the data and experience acquired in the Corvette Racing program. This week’s Wednesday wallpaper pays homage to a major component of what made the C6 ZR1 great: its racing pedigree.
I can’t remember if I’ve ever come across a creepy Corvette, but this one certainly fits the bill. The eerie-looking C6 was created by a fan of Forza Motorsport 4. From the dripping blood, to Pennywise, the Dancing Clown from Stephen King’s “It”, the design is a pretty strange take on a Corvette.
