This rant goes out to the group that has decided that buying the last-generation Z06 is the far-better investment than the new car, especially when you throw in a few performance modifications.
Hey, they don’t call it “Hollyweird” for nothing, which is why I guess these photos of the local L.A. phenomenon Angelyne in her pink C7 really shouldn’t surprise me at all. And yet, for some reason I still find them pretty damn bizarre.
The custom Corvette, recently showcased at the Essen Motor Show in Germany, was created by the German tuning company Prior Design. The modified C7 features a completely different front fascia with a carbon-fiber diffuser, carbon side skirts, widened wheel arches and Aristo forged wheels.
Within 48 hours of getting their hands on the new Z06, Vengeance Racing managed to get 660 RWHP and 663 RWTQ out of the car with only an additional pulley and a modified AFE cold-air intake.
We’re starting to get wind of some of the first street match-ups pitting the new Z06 against some pretty noteworthy competitors, and the results are very interesting.
Top Gear has named the Z06 its Muscle Car of the Year. That’s in addition to Jeremy Clarkson naming the standard C7 Stingray as his personal Car of the Year in the magazine’s new Awards Edition.
