1985 Corvette Playmates Fun To Drive Dashboard
If you were a child of ’80s, I just want to congratulate you. Without a doubt, you were growing up in one of the most wonderful child-rearing periods that America has ever seen. Not only did we have the rise of Nintendo and the first animated series of Teenage Mutant Turtles, we had the Playmates Fun To Drive Dashboard.
After the malaise era of the 1970s, in a time when cars were just becoming cool again, we had access to this awesome C4 Corvette nose to practice our eventual driving skills upon. I mean just look at it! It has a starter key, a multi-position throttle, blinking indicators, and even working pop-up headlights.
This toy came out in 1985, only one year after the C4 first went on sale. If you don’t think this is the coolest toy you could have gotten for Christmas that year, then I’m not sure we can be friends anymore.
