Check Out This C4 Corvette Masked as a VW Beetle

Here’s an interesting spin on a Corvette. In fact, it might be one of the wildest ones I’ve covered here in recent months. But I guess that’s one of the true beauties of eBay: you just never know what will turn up for sale.

Take, for example, this 1971 Volkswagen Beetle, that’s equipped with a suspension system and engine from a C4 ‘Vette. Even the interior of the classic Bug, which features leather seats and a CD player, has been fitted with bits and pieces of the American sports car.

Initially, it appeared that the combination of a Beetle and Corvette might be a little too odd even for eBay buyers, as the asking price had dropped from $17,000 (as initially reported by Road & Track) to $10,000. But in the end, interest must have piqued, because this baby sold for $22,206 to the highest bidder.
