How About We Make a Collective Bid on the First 2015 Corvette?

Calling all Corvette enthusiasts: Chevy is revving up to auction the first 2015 Corvette Stingray to roll off the Bowling Green assembly line. There’s still hope that Rick Hendrick might pass on this Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas.

Hey, with so many Corvettes already in his collection, maybe the NASCAR team owner might not want to be tied down with a new Arctic White 3LT Z51 Stingray with an Adrenaline Red interior bearing the VIN number 001.

OK, I could be wrong, but hey, even if Rick Hendrick is planning to make a bid on it at the Las Vegas event on Sept. 26, maybe a few of us could come up with enough cash to outbid him on the car.

OK, so that’s a bit of stretch, too, considering that Hendrick paid $1 million for the rights to the first 2015 Corvette Z06. Then again, it never hurts to dream even if it is really far-fetched.
