What Corvette Would You Buy if Money Wasn’t an Option?
If you’re like me, you’ve probably spent a lot of time dreaming about what Corvette you’d buy if money wasn’t an option.
Such a quandry was posed in a recent and highly entertaining CF thread. Senior Member Hameister, who started the thread linked here, said his dream ‘Vette would be a 1967 L88 (pictured above).
My pick would be a 1967 Coupe, as I noted here a couple of months ago in a story polling people about the most popular generation of Corvettes. And I have to admit, I dream about that ’67 pretty frequently, especially when I hear stories about some guy who buys a lottery ticket to kill time then winds up hitting a multi-million dollar jackpot.
Of course, we know there are some who really don’t have any need to dream about owning a Corvette because they have endless amounts of cash, which has already afforded them the opportunity to own an entire collection of Corvettes.
If it sounds like I’m a little envious, it’s because I am. Knowing that my dream of being behind the wheel of a ’67 coupe is pretty much confined to a screenshot on my laptop is a little discouraging when I know there’s someone out there who probably owns three or four of the Corvettes.
Hey, I guess that’s why they call ‘em dreams. But the bigger question is, which dream Corvette would you buy if money wasn’t any option?
