Which Car Did You Trade for Your C7 Corvette?
It’s pretty easy to get attached to cars, but as they say “if you love something, let it go.” Or does that only apply to people? Either way, the C7 rarely presents a case of buyer’s remorse, even if some of the metal that is traded towards that new C7 is pretty darn cool.
So what did our members used to have? Well, as you would expect, there’s plenty of V8 muscle to be found, with cars being represented by all of the Big Three. Plenty of Chargers and Challengers represent Mopar, and the Blue Oval has a few Mustangs on their side. Older Corvettes traded up for the newer model are quite popular too, as you’d expect, and hold the highest number of “wish I could keep it” comments.
There’s a couple of cars that really stand out though. Fom the sportscar segment, there’s a Mitsubishi Evo, and a Lotus Exige. And from the luxury side, there’s a few CTS-V coupes, and even an Aston Martin. I have to say the biggest switch has to be forum member macdaddy548. Of all things to trade in for a Corvette, he traded a Hummer H1. Talk about a change-up!
