Corvette Z06 Convertible Earns Robb Report Car of the Year Honor

Move over exotics, your superficial reign at the top among the rich and famous is officially over.

After years of only gushing over high-priced imports, Robb Report has finally seen fit to crown the American-built 2016 Corvette Z06 Convertible with one of its Car of the Year honors.

In all honesty, I’m not exactly sure this is the first time a Corvette has made the list. I’m far from what you’d call a regular reader of the swanky lifestyle magazine to be able to make an accurate assessment in that regard. However, I’ve decided to over-emphasize the Z06’s mention on the list nonetheless. Why? Because the honor further dispels the myth that the Corvette doesn’t have the same cache as some of the more expensive nameplates.

In fact, to earn the seventh spot on the list, the Z06 actually topped some pretty heavy contenders for Robb Report’s Car of the Year honors, including the BMW 750i xDrive, the Bentley Mulsanne Speed, and the Mercedes-Maybach S600.
