Corvette Z06 vs Tesla P90D Drag Race Is More Than a Little Shady

Something about this drag race just strikes me as being a little off.

Yeah, I think I’ll go with that rather than saying exactly what I think about this so-called showdown between a Corvette Z06 and a Tesla P90D.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I certainly get the fact that the Tesla P90D is fast. And this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve come across a video of one beating a Z06 on the dragstrip. But there’s something about the entire race and rematch that leaves me wondering if there might have been another agenda at play, considering that the clip was posted by the Tesla Racing Channel.

Maybe it’s just that the Z06 driver seems a little timid behind the wheel.

One thing’s for sure, this bit probably would not have been posted if that Z06 would have won, or even come close to winning. Then again, I guess that’s what makes the clip a little tough to swallow as a Corvette fan. The real kicker is when the Tesla owner looks into the camera and says the races were a waste of his battery power.
