Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Callaway Corvette Sells for Just $77K

It appears that when we posted our initial headline about Dale Earnhardt Jr’s Callaway Corvette being up for auction, we weren’t far off the mark when we said that it “could be yours.”

While I expected it to go for a pretty hefty price, the actual winning bid was only $77,000. Now, that’s not to say that I think a lot of people just have $77,000 laying around the house, but the auction price is a lot more feasible than I imagined, given the uniqueness of the car and its ties to racing royalty.

Then again, while Dale Jr. might have millions of fans, it appears his ’99 Callaway Corvette doesn’t have quite as many backers.
