A Deer Goes Corvette Hunting
You can be a perfect driver, never having any accidents, you can even make sure to knock on wood when mentioning such things — and yet the most unpredictable things to happen to cars are deer. Four legged evil creatures, I say. Look for no further proof than this C6, which fell victim to one deer’s aimless gallop.
Coming from a state with a high deer population, I often worry about this. I actually just had a good friend have his car demolished in an impact aftermath that looked much more scary than this C6’s skirmish. As for my own experience, I did manage to whack a raccoon last January, and it did a pretty good number on my bumper. Corvette Forum user TKrug007‘s Corvette came away a bit worse off than my hit, with a much bigger scar.
Fender, door, and windscreen will all need to be replaced, but thankfully the fuzzy creature that hit the ‘Vette didn’t cause woe to any other drivers. Other than the damage you see, the C6, and more importantly, him, will both be a-okay. And as TKrug007 describes in his post about the incident, his appreciation for deer hunters has increased.
