Dozens of Cool Custom ‘Vettes Took Center Stage at the 65th Annual Meguiar’s Detroit Autorama

If you’re a classic Corvette fan, and you missed this year’s 65th Annual Meguiar’s Detroit Autorama held at Cobo Center, then you’ve probably been kicking yourself a little bit. Well, if you’re anything like us, that is.

Over the years, the Detroit event has become a great place to see some amazing vintage ‘Vettes. Sure, the Autorama has always been a popular place to showcase the American icon, be it custom cruisers or those more monstrously-equipped for the dragstrip. But every year, it seems that there are more and more cool Corvettes on display. And apparently, this year’s event was hotter than ever, as highlighted in a tremendous Hot Rod report.

The magazine has pulled together a great photo gallery of some of the Corvettes displayed at the February event, which is definitely worth perusing in full. But we’ve pulled a few of our favorite pics below, some of which might be familiar from previous shows.

Of course, our pics are all strictly based on exterior star quality. Because as well all know, sometimes the true beauty of a classic Corvette lies underneath the hood.

That said, there’s still a lot to revel in in for those of us who really appreciate the aesthetic beauty of a vintage Corvette.

Check out the Hot Rod gallery, for sure. And if you’re looking for even more great pics of the event — 665 of them — head over to senior member 78SA’s thread. Then you’ll really be kicking yourself if you missed it.
