Corvette Forum Members Report on 2014 C7 Reliability

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

The first year for a redesigned car is always questionable. Research and development can’t account for the way that every driver will use a car. They don’t know how many times you may spill your coffee, or leave a window open in the rain, or how heavy a duffel bag is that you’ll throw in the trunk. The real way to gather information is by talking directly to the owners. Now that the 2014 C7s have been on the road for a while, the owners have become familiar with their rides and can provide some feedback.

Feedback for the 2014 has been unanimously good. Actually, most owners are chiming in with about 25K to 30K miles of trouble-free driving. Most owners are extremely satisfied with the A6 transmission, though some note that the M7 can seem a bit “notchy” until you get a few hundred miles through it. Other things not related to reliability have been linked to just a small number of recalls that are covered under factory warranty. Owners report that things like fit and finish, as well as overall quality have exceeded their expectations. Well done Chevrolet!
