If You Own a Corvette, You Might Be a Loser
Don’t shoot the messenger here, folks. I’m just relaying one of those things that I read on the Internet, so it must be true. (Well, crap. This is on the Internet too.) Anyhow, according to this over-generalizing and otherwise unfounded article, if you own a Corvette, there’s a very small chance that you’re a cool person.
There’s a couple of innate problems here. First of all, I’ve met tons of cool Corvette owners. And secondly, I myself lust after the C7, and I am undoubtedly a cool person.
Yes, Corvettes are very easily grouped into the “mid-life crisis” memorandum, but anyone who dismisses Corvette owners as not being true enthusiasts is foolhardy in their thinking. That’s the kindest way I can think of wording that without my editor getting upset with me. The Corvette owners I have known? Enthusiasts, mechanics, young, old, wealthy, and those who stretch a dollar. Not one loser.
Given that this article was found by one of our forum members, it quickly gained hilarious traction on our forum. It is also a bit humorous that the author of the original article is not listed. I have a feeling that a few moments with a C7 or a C3 L88 would quickly change his or her mind.
