Simple Bolt-ons Pull This C7 Corvette Z06’s Front Wheels Up

There’s no doubt that this imagery is pretty amazing. This C7 Z06 can pull its front tires off the ground with some “simple bolt-ons.” The most spectacular part is that it’s not an all-out racer, it’s not even running on a specific drag racing wheel and tire setup. It’s just a Z06 with a “simple setup.”

Let’s speculate for a moment. If this is what a Z06 is capable of, what levels of performance will the ZR1 possess? Will wheelie bars be an option available from the online configurator, or would it be available from GM Performance Parts? Either way, if the capabilities of the Z06 are this high, then you can safely assume that GM won’t settle for marginal performance increases for the next road king.

These tests took place at Maryland International Raceway, which was recently the host of the Haltech World Cup Finals. This Corvette driver wasn’t racing anyone else though, as he was going down the strip solo. Obviously, some power has clearly been added, as this A8 Z06 just manages to break into the 9s on some passes. His trap speed was consistently in the 135-mph range on each pull, too. Though we don’t know exactly which “bolt-ons” were applied, feel free to assume what has been added in the comments below.
