It Only Takes One Corvette for a Show

There it was. One lone C7 Corvette, sitting proudly in a corner of the Chevrolet stand at the 2016 New York International Auto Show.

Strangely, that’s the only one we could manage to find during press days at this year’s event, which opened to the public March 25 and runs through April 3. But hey, we get it. The beloved American icon can’t always soak up the spotlight at auto shows, what with so many other Chevy vehicles vying for attention. That’s one of the things that comes with being part of such a large brand as Chevrolet. And yet, I still always find it really, really interesting that much like last year’s New York show, regardless of where you stick the Corvette, it still manages to draw a crowd.

This year’s NYC show features a C7 painted in Long Beach Red Metallic, which you can see more of in the gallery below. It was a little tough to photograph, given the lighting; but I guess that’s one of the beauties about the C7, noting beats seeing the car in person, which is what keeps so many people flocking back.
