As the old saying goes, you can’t keep a good car guy down.

Okay, so maybe that’s never actually been a common adage, but it certainly seems to apply when it comes to former Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson.

Much as we speculated here, it appears that the highly popular car analyst is revving up to park his talents at another network, shortly after being axed by BBC, as highlighted in a Business Insider report.

As most thought inevitable, Clarkson hinted that he could be making a return to the business. He did so in his weekly Sunday Times column, while also discussing some of the personal issues that led to him punching a Top Gear producer.

“I felt sick because after I’d lost my home and my mother, I’d thrown myself even more vigorously into my job and now, idiotically, I’d managed to lose that too,” Clarkson wrote.

After some careful consideration, however, the 55-year-old Brit continued that he’s just not ready to give up his career yet.

“Which is why I have made a decision,” Clarkson wrote in the Times column. “I have lost my baby but I shall create another. I don’t know who the other parent will be or what the baby will be like, but I cannot sit around any more organising my photograph albums.”

I’m sure there are millions of car fans who are very happy to hear that.
