It’s Thursday, and you know what that means? It’s time to take a trip back in time for #ThrowbackThursday! Cue the wavy screen effects and odd noises. *Doodely doodely doodely*

In this week’s blast from the past, we are looking at the 1984 Corvette. After more than a decade of the C3, the car was feeling old, underpowered, and it had lost most of its magic. The Corvette team was hard at work trying to create a car that was incredibly futuristic in its technology, performance, and design. The crisp and clean C4 design was unlike anything Corvette enthusiasts had ever seen. The car could hit speeds of more than 150 mph, it had a cool LCD that was about as futuristic as things got in 1984, and man did it look amazing.

You can relive the magic that was 1984 today thanks to a full scan of the original 58-page brochure that the cool kids over at Hemmings have put up. You can see a smattering of the pics below, but head on over to Hemmings for performance numbers, paint options, speaker acoustics diagrams, and more totally ’80s awesomeness.
