Just in case you didn’t know, it’s illegal to allow anyone to ride in the rear section of a Corvette, even if they do fit into the area.

Sounds pretty elementary, considering that the ‘Vette is a two seater, right?

Well, apparently not, which is why Frederick and Sheri Holton of Brookfield, Connecticut were arrested for reckless endangerment after permitting their kids to ride behind the back seats of their 1982 Corvette, according to a GM Authority report.

Sure, chances are if you grew up as a kid during the 60s, 70s, or 80s, you probably found yourself in a few questionable seating positions in a car. I mean – who didn’t want to ride in the back of a Corvette with the hatchback up as a kid?

I know I certainly had a few thrills in a Corvette as a kid that would definitely elicit a ticket today. So in a way, you might be inclined to give the Holtons a break.

The trouble is, the Holtons have racked up a few other charges as well, like driving with a suspended license and driving uninsured, which brings into question if they should be allowed to drive any vehicle with kids in it.
