LG Motorsports’ Procharger Build Is Both Beauty and Beast

LG Motorsports has a new project underway, and as you would expect, the looks and performance are both amazing. Serious hardware is getting installed under the hood, with the factory supercharger being yanked. In its place will be an F1X Procharger. That will feed a Procharger race intercooler and enter a gorgeous custom CNC intake. Power from that unit will go to an RPM-built Powerglide automatic transmission with a 9-inch rear section. A direct-drive pulley, and new harmonic balancer will tie things up.

Dyno tests revealed some interesting tendencies of power delivery from the Procharger. The older Roots-style blower has a big punch down low in the rev range. In fact, there’s a lot of power lost in the low end with the Procharger. It’s more than made up on the top end though. Dyno results show an increase of literally hundreds of hp over the OEM blower. Total power numbers are more than impressive. 1,028 horsepower and 786 lb/ft of torque is where the car currently sits. Additional fine-tuning will get even more power. Now is the time to place your bets on the final power numbers.
