The National Corvette Museum celebrated a significant milestone last week with the delivery of the 10,000th Corvette distributed through the museum delivery program.

Lucky No. 10,000, Dave Effler of Denver, Colorado, picked up his new Stingray accompanied by his wife, Susan, at the museum on Friday.

The Corvette delivery program, which includes picking up the car in the lobby of the museum and receiving VIP tours of both the assembly plant and the museum, was started in 1995.

“Making it to 10,000 museum deliveries is quite an accomplishment,” said Shane Webb, delivery department manager for the museum. “It’s a testament to all the Corvette enthusiasts.”

Effler won a build-your-own Corvette raffle in November, which perfectly coincided with lucky No. 10,000. So you could say he’s on one big winning streak. Speaking of winning, for his new C7, Effler opted for the Z51 performance package and all!

But Effler certainly seems to be keeping it all in perspective. “This is my first love,” he told BG Daily News, with a nod to his wife.

“And this is my second love,” he said about his new Corvette.
