This Pontiac Trans-Am Will Make You Thankful Today

With all the shock-headline news going on in the world right now, sometimes you spot something that makes you thankful. That recently happened to Corvette Forum member dbgoodwin when he was checking out a white Pontiac Trans-Am. A cool car in its own right, this Trans-Am had another secret: hand controls for all three pedals. That’s right, a manual transmission.

It was during a visit to a local store when dbgoodwin spotted the Pontiac, as well as the presumed owner who had lost both of his legs. Dbgoodwin, saw the whole situation as inspirational. Having had a knee injury when he was younger, he still prefers to row his own gears. Something like this, he suggests, should inspire more people to enjoy their cars, in whichever form they like.

It’s not a knock to anyone who picked an automatic. It’s not really any proof of being a better driver or a gauge of your enthusiasm or passion for cars. This is just purely to show that if you still want something, you go out and get it. Let this be your inspiration for the day. As they say, “mind over matter.”
