Procharged C6 Z06 Corvette Dominates the Strip

We’ve seen a large number of very fast C6 Z06 Corvettes here at Corvette Forum, but it’s not too often we see one that is procharged. Clearly making the playing field level to the heavy bias of turbocharging, this procharged ‘Vette runs deep into the 7s on more than a few passes, and looks as if it can repeat that performance over and over.

Built by Race Proven Motorsports, and motivated by an LSX 427 block, generously fed by an F1c-94 ProCharger, this Corvette made many die-hard fans proud at LS Fest, with the racing action taking place at Beech Bend Raceway. Using a transmission built in-house at RPM, and a host of Holley brand go-fast parts (which do the trick, clearly), this Z06 operates like clockwork.

With the last pull in the video being a 7.832 @ 179.95, you have to wonder if the team was looking for that last fraction of a mile per hour just so that they can claim 180. I know I’d be going for it, but who am I to judge, I don’t have an impressively built Z06!
