Redskins-Themed ‘79 Corvette Up for Grabs on eBay

If you happen to be a Washington Redskins fan as well as Corvette lover, then this might pique your interest.

A 1979 ‘Vette singed by coach Jay Gruden and every member of the 2015 Redskins team is up for auction on eBay. With five days left to go, the bidding is currently at just over $16,000. The bidding ends December 8, and all proceeds from the auction will go to the Purple Heart Service Foundation, a group devoted to helping veterans.

The listed specs on the Redskins-themed Corvette include an original L48 350 cubic inch V8, 3-speed automatic transmission, and leathers seats.

Given that the car only has 32,211 miles on the odometer, it might make quite a catch, even if you aren’t a big Redskins fan. That is unless you reside in Texas, home of the team’s biggest rival, the Dallas Cowboys. There, I doubt that even all your fellow Corvette owners could save you from the thrashing you’d take for cruising around in a Redskins-themed Corvette.
