A blogger learned about the whereabouts of a ’65 Corvette barn-find while attending the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Brian Hobaugh’s ’65 Corvette is one of the baddest cars around: one that inspires confidence in its driver, and fear in its competitors. It’s also drop-dead gorgeous.

For sale at auction: a 1965 C2 Corvette cut-away, which was designed as a display to showcase everything from the car’s engine to the four-wheel independent suspension.

Compared with the C7, which features an 18.5-gallon tank, this rare 1965 C2 sports a 36-gallon fuel hauler, almost double that of the new Stingray.

We could just label it “weird,” but the fact that someone would take the engine of a 1965 Corvette and use it to power a mobile bathroom might deserve its own special category.
