It certainly has me thinking of some ways I can come up with the cash to buy one. The sound of a C7 Corvette Z06 is a much-needed morphine shot to quell the pain of the world’s four-cylinder, commuter-car cacophony. I’ve already replayed the video ten times to keep my fix alive.

Corvette Racing roars into Long Beach this weekend for the Tequila Patrón Sports Car Showcase with one nice win already under its belt. After weeks of circling the rumor mill, General Motors has made it official: the Corvette Stingray will be offered with an eight-speed automatic transmission for 2015.
