Gold ’62 Corvette Should Fetch a Nice Price at Auction
This gorgeously restored Firemist Gold ’62 Corvette will be making its way across the blocks at the Mecum Auction in Indianapolis, which kicks off May 17.
We expected the very first Grand Sport model would go for well over $250,000. After all, the first 2014 C7 Corvette sold for $1.1 million, and the first 2016 Z06 C7.R sold for $500K.
If history is any indication of what’s in store, Rick Hendrick will likely ride away with the keys to the first Grand Sport after posting a sizeable bid for the car.
This stunning C2, which recently fetched big bucks at the 2016 Mecum Kissimmee auction, is one of only 3,475 1963 Corvettes painted Daytona Blue.
