This is one Scary Stingray
Talk about intimidating. Can you imagine cruising down the highway and suddenly seeing this sitting in the median? I’m betting most would probably start sweating the second they were to see it, even if they weren’t speeding.
Blame CAFE regulations, blame the EPA, blame Satan, but regardless of whom you choose to blame, your chosen scapegoat will be unable to make this news any easier to digest, so here it goes: the 2016 Corvette is getting the Voltec powertrain added to its options list, and it will be called the Corvette E-REV.
Sure, I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I certainly don’t mind a few custom features on the new ‘Vette — and don’t get me wrong, I truly like some of the stuff Forgiato does, but honestly, I can barely stand to look at these things, and I would prefer to refrain from even calling them Corvettes.
I find triple-black C7 Corvettes as addictive as cigarettes are to rebellious 14-year-olds. I could look at one of these all day, but as arresting as ATX-C7’s new Corvette may be, that’s not what makes his car Corvette of the Week. This quote makes his car Corvette of the Week: “Coming from a Porsche 911, this car is SO much fun to drive.”
There’s always one right? That one person who regardless of what everyone else says, figures he’ll go against the grain. Yup, and believe it or not, there’s one who even exists among all the journalists in the world who have weighed in on the award-winning 2014 Corvette Stingray. Wait, was that “award-winning”? Oh yeah, award-winning, which is why it almost seems odd when you hear anyone say anything bad about the C7.
