C7’s throaty engine could be barred in South Korea
The new Corvette could actually be barred from South Korea because the car’s 455-horsepower LT1 V8 is just too damn throaty for the country’s engine noise regulations.
The C7 Corvette has been nominated as a finalist for Autoblog’s 2014 Technology of the Year Award. The nominees for the highly regarded award include vehicles selected for tech features ranging from engines to safety systems.
If the first-generation (E85) BMW Z4 had “flame surfacing”, the C7 Corvette has “blade surfacing”, and that is delightfully apparent when the Corvette’s exterior is slathered in Blade Silver Metallic.
