Corvettes and other Vehicles Slider

As a Corvette lover, it’s safe to assume you are also a car lover in general. Most Corvette fans have room in their hearts for other types of cars. Perusing the forums, I’ve seen that you have a wide variety of vehicles sharing space with your Corvette in the garage: from the Honda Civic and Toyota Camry, to the Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 and the Audi R8 Spyder (in toy-car form). One forum member even said his other car was a “pair of Nikes.” Tell us what else you drive.

Restored 1974 Chevrolet Corvette Four-Speed Coupe Featured

This 1974 Chevrolet Corvette has been painstakingly restored by forum member “ORANGEBROTHERS” who says he’s “bringing C3′s back to life one at a time.” I’d say that’s quite the noble cause. With this ’74 I must admit, I developed a bit of a crush at first sight, and then I developed a craving for a certain orange-flavored soft drink … by far, that is the most bizarre reaction I’ve had to any car, and on that bombshell, this C3 gets my nod for “Corvette of the Week”.

Yellow C6 Corvette Slider

I’ve heard songs that mention turbo ‘Vettes and little red Corvettes, but I’ve never heard a song that mentions a yellow Corvette. It would have been nice if Wiz Khalifa’s song “Black and Yellow” was about a Corvette, but the lyrics actually signified his allegiance to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the car in the “Black and Yellow” music video was a Dodge Challenger SRT8. Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” music video has 171 million views on YouTube, but maybe it would have already hit 200 million if it had featured a Corvette like the one above. OK, maybe not, but a ‘Vette in the video would have been nice.

Two C4 Corvette ZR-1s Featured

Corvette Forum members love to talk trash on me because of my love for the C4 Corvette … particularly model years 1992 to 1994. I realize generation four was not a banner era for the brand, but I think C4s would be remembered more fondly if the ZR-1 were the only variant of Corvette produced during that time. At about $60,000 in the 1990s, it was an expensive car, but it was a formidable player on the world stage competing with the likes of the Porsche 911 Turbo. I dream of owning a C4 ZR-1. Forum member “We Gone” (a.k.a. Steve) is living my dream … times two.
