It’s a battle of the ages. A race that demands payment to Thor and his Asgardian brethren in the form of unbelievable American noise. But will the new Corvette Z06 make a better showing than the last time these two titans clashed?
You might be asking, “How is this Lingenfelter Z06 really any different than all the other modified Z06s we’ve seen in the past? Didn’t they just do a new ECU tune and call it a day like everyone else?” Nope, not in the slightest.
Whoever said we’re in the twilight of horsepower and performance cars hasn’t looked outside recently. If anything, we’re in the new golden age of both.
Just take the following video of a race between a C7 Z06 and a motorcycle as proof.
Houston’s premier ‘Vette shop has now successfully tuned the highest-horsepower C7 Z06 around, and they are the first to achieve 700-plus rwhp. In other words, this Corvette Z06 goes to 11.
Thankfully there are a few intrepid Corvette owners out there who love driving more than anything. That’s exactly the case with Mark and his 2000 C5 Coupe. As outlined in the video after the jump, this is Mark’s fifth Corvette, and it has over 650,000 miles on it.
