First convertible Z06 to be auctioned in Scottsdale
I’m not much of a betting man, but I’m expecting this one to top the million dollars that the new Z06 coupe pulled down and then some.
The video after the jump is a one-minute and thirty-three-second clip of the new Z06 Convertible starting up that I’m betting will have a few people dreaming of hitting the lottery. It certainly has me thinking of some ways I can come up with the cash to buy one. The sound of a C7 Corvette Z06 is a much-needed morphine shot to quell the pain of the world’s four-cylinder, commuter-car cacophony. I’ve already replayed the video ten times to keep my fix alive.
There’s something about seeing this thing in its natural state without all that computer-generated crap used to enhance photos. Then again, maybe it’s just my own personal pet peeve in knowing how computer-enhanced images can make some things look a lot nicer than they are in real life. Don’t get me wrong, I love all those studio shots General Motors released last week of the new 2015 Convertible Z06. They’ve been creating quite a buzz, but seeing that blue topless Z06 on the stand at the 2014 New York International Auto Show really brings it to life.
