Corvette Rated as “Most American-Made” Vehicle

When it comes to carrying that coveted “Made in America” tag important to a lot of U.S. car buyers, the new Corvette Stingray tops the list … well, along with the Ford F-Series, which I think still puts the C7 in pretty good company as far as respected American nameplates. Forgiato’s Spin on Corvettes is a “No-Go”

Sure, I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I certainly don’t mind a few custom features on the new ‘Vette — and don’t get me wrong, I truly like some of the stuff Forgiato does, but honestly, I can barely stand to look at these things, and I would prefer to refrain from even calling them Corvettes.

If there were any skepticism about General Motors’ commitment to making the Corvette Stingray one of the most competitive sports cars in the world, then a recent report by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) eradicates any doubt.
