Inside Vengeance Racing’s 1,000-Horsepower C7 Corvette
Vengeance Racing says they pulled off the 1000-horsepower feat with only five major changes.
There’s a lot of buzz on Corvette Forum over one of Vengeance Racing’s latest Corvette mods. Then again, considering it’s a 1,400-horsepower 2009 Corvette Z06 with 1,321 lb-ft of torque, would you expect anything less?
Vengeance Racing is making one hell of an assertion about their Z06, and they’ve provided a video that seems to give credence to the claim.
I actually have no idea how I missed the following clip because it’s one impressive piece that shows why the C6 Corvette has so many fans.
First thing’s first: we know the 2015 Corvette Z06 in bone-stock form makes 585 horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Why do we know this? Vengeance Racing just got their hands on a brand-new Z06. They are the first tuner we know of to do so, and they immediately got the car on the dyno once they got it back to the shop. But it’s what they did before they drove the car off the lot that has a lot of people going crazy on Facebook right now.
