If You Could Have Any Five Corvettes, Which Would They Be?

It’s a thought that’s crossed our feeble minds more than once: if you’re able to have five vehicles with that iconic flag symbol, which would you choose? Given the half century run of the Chevrolet Corvette, there’s quite a few to dream about, from rare 1 of 1 concept cars, legendary racers, or maybe going back to that first Corvette you saw that got you hooked. If money was no option, which five would be yours?

For me, I’ve always had a soft spot for the C1. I actually find this particular one pictured above, sans grille, to be unusually appealing.

I also enjoy this C3 a bit too much. An unusual combination of wing, under body aero, hunkered down suspension, and particularly that central exhaust. All a bit odd on their own, but the parts come together nicely in one package.

This C2 also can’t be ignored. This beauty was one that I’ve had the pleasure of piloting around. Chunky 4-speed, honest to its original condition, and although this one was formerly red, I cant say the black looks bad at all.

Here’s another C2 that I like, if only for the “barn find” dreamer within me. It is indeed a split window ’63, and apparently has sat in this same spot for quite some time in the suburbs of Chicago.

And finally, this gorgeous Pininfarina designed 1963 Rondine Corvette. One-of-a-kind not only in styling, but in that it is also steel-bodied. Okay, so it’s not fiberglass, regardless, I’d have this one in my garage just to stare at it.

So those are my five. But what about you? Which five Corvettes would you choose?
