Warning: That’s a Police Corvette in the Rearview!
Imagine spotting this in your rearview mirror with the lights flashing. Talk about intimidating, right?
Luckily for us, this C7 Corvette decked out with police livery holds residence on the roads of Germany and not the States. Unveiled at the recent Essen Motor Show, the Corvette is a project car for “Tune It! Safe!,” a program sponsored by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport, as highlighted in a Motor Authority report.
The program, now in its 11th year, aims to discourage the tuning of cars with substandard and illegal parts while informing young car owners of the dangers.
The C7 was upgraded by German Corvette specialist TIKT and features a custom carbon fiber wide-body kit and forged alloy wheels fitted with Hankook Ventus S1 Evo tires, in addition to that police decor. Under the hood is the Corvette’s standard 6.2-liter LT1 V-8.
