What is Corvetteforum?
Corvetteforum is an independent enthusiast
site and club. Our members get to know each other online, but we also
meet in person at different times during the year. There is at least one
major "official" gathering each year. We meet at The National
Corvette Museum over Memorial Day weekend. Take a look in the Upcoming
Events section to see all of the other events in which Corvetteforum members
are participating.
You may also want to take a look at our
other automotive enthusiast websites. The new Pontiac Solstice site is
located at Solsticeforum. You
can read about the 2007 Saturn Sky at SkyRoadster.
GTOforum is the place to discuss
classic and new GTOs. Cadillac XLR is covered at our Cadillac
XLR forum site. The Chevy SSR
site is for the new retro pickup.
We are not associated with, or financially
supported by, General Motors. The site is free to all noncommercial members.
We are supported by advertising, supporting vendors and supporting dealers.

How Do I Advertise on Corvetteforum?
There are different options available for promoting
your business on Corvetteforum. Please click
here for the details.
What is a moderator?
A moderator is a Corvetteforum member that has volunteered to help monitor the site. In the early days
they tended to help keep conversations going. These days they tend to
spend most of their time making sure that the forum remains the helpful,
friendly place that it has become. They are non-paid and act as moderators
in support of the Corvette community. Please be sure to thank them whenever
you get the chance.

What are 'topics' and 'posts'?
A topic (or thread) is simply one subject of discussion.
For example you may see a topic titled "What is the best aftermarket
intake system for a C5?". Within the topic itself are all of the
individual 'posts' or 'replies' that make up the discussion on the topic.

How do I start a new topic?
Starting a new topic is very easy. If you are a registered
user you will need to login to the site. You do that by clicking on the
Login text in the upper right hand portion of the screen. From the main
forum page choose the appropriate section (C5, C4, C3, Off Topic, etc...).
You should see a list of current topics being discussed. Look to the upper
right hand portion of the screen for the button that says New Topic. Click
on this. You will be prompted to fill out the topic title, and the actual
text of the topic. Click on the Submit graphic. You will be taken back
to the list of current topics. You should see yours at or near the top.

If you see the number of posts count going up but

need to hit the reload/refresh button in your browser once you enter the
thread to see the latest posts.

How do I put pictures in my post?
First, your picture must be located on the internet somewhere. It can't
be posted from your hard disk. If you don't have a place to put your picture
on the internet you can register for a free Corvetteforum home page here.
Once
you have your picture on the internet you can add it to a post like this:

How do I setup a signature at the bottom of my posts?
You can setup your signature in your profile

How do I find someone's email address?

Why hasn't my vanity plate, or 'fun stuff' submission shown up on the site
yet?
There is a time lag between the time you submit any
'fun stuff' items and when they show up on the site. This is due to the
fact that we must manually update the site with each item.
We are
in the process of automating these systems. So far we have finished the
automation of the Product Reviews, Tech Tips, and Featured Corvette. We
will be working on the 'Fun Stuff' in the near future. When all systems
are finished there will still be a light time lag as we review and manually
approve each submission.

How do I register for a free home page?
You can register for a Corvetteforum.net free home
page here.
How do I search for a subject?
Look for the 'search' text located towards the upper right hand side of
any forum page. Or click here.
You will be taken to a search form. Please fill out the relevant information.

How can I change my forum name?
Please only request username changes if you have a valid reason. An example
would be if you had the name 1985vette and sold it to buy a 1995 Corvette.
A name change would make sense in this case. To have your name changed
send an email to forumsupport@corvetteforum.com
including your old name and your new name. You post count and registration
information will be retained. Please be aware that this may take us a
while to complete. We will send you an e-mail as soon as we're done.
