Karvajal Designs ZX-1 gives details on its Chevrolet Corvette widebody
Autoblog - May 21st, 2009
Karvajal Designs has been displaying its Chevrolet Corvette-altering wares for some time, and it's finally giving up the details on its line of C6 exterior and engine modifications. The ZX-1 Stage One package includes a completely redesigned body kit that widens the 'Vette's haunches to 80-inches (with all the requisite ducting and panels), along with front and rear LEDs, custom exhaust, rear diffuser and 18-inch HRE aluminum wheels.
In addition to the other ZX-1 bling (aluminum sill plates, floor mats, flat-bottom steering wheel, alcantra swathed race seats, etc.), a performance package is available that includes Baer brakes, a Pfaft coil-over suspension, anti-roll bars, full under-body aero package and – most importantly – a Magnuson supercharger tuned to produce over 600 horsepower. If that isn't enough, all of the exterior bits can be had in carbon fiber and coated in a hue of your choosing.

Overall pretty cool but the rear window looks strange with that large step from the b-pillar. The middle of the leading edge of the door does not blend quite right either. But overall pretty coo!

I think it's one of the better one-offs out there. It still looks like a Corvette which is nice.
I do think he missed the mark on some design elements that would have made it really great. I don't like how the side vents get cut off by the door. It ruins the continuity of the lines. He should have kept that. I think the rear hatch could have been better as well. I think the Carerra GT type engine cover doesn't flow with the lines because it does not meet the top of the roof. I also think there are to many gills on the car.
Other than that, I think it's pretty nice. The widebody on that car is pretty impressive.

1) Why are the wheel wells... so BIG!!?
2) That interior pattern looks like some crap I'd find draped in my grandma's nursing home.. wtf is that diamond stiching crap? Its like something you'd see in a padded room for a guy with a straight jacket, seriously.
3) Since when does it look cool to put LEDs and holes w/chicken wire, ALL OVER wherever you can? SERIOUSLY?
4) WTF did they do to the rear window!? It looks like it's broken or dysfunctional . . .
5) At a glance the badge looks like a viper badge:

Burning Brakes
Besides that, in today's world we might all be suprised that what waits behind the curtain is not what we are expecting (surprise).

Fender flares overexaggerated, as said by others above, the door fails to go with the front fender, wtf happened to the rear glass on the hatchback area... side view of the rear bumper makes the car look like a C5... copied Ferrari seats... nothing special about the supercharger hood.
If anything, the front bumper is probably what was done ok as it provides the bumper with the hard front edge that it needed from the factory. C3 style ducts are a little small.
