Just posted this on the blog. Is this attention to detail commendable or insane? Or both? Check it out and let us know!

IF and I say IF someone buys that for that price, that would be where 2 fool met. One for asking that much and the other for paying that much.

Is there a more over-used phrase in the world today than "numbers matching"? I'm so sick of hearing and seeing that on just about every Vette for sale out there! It's worse than whatever TV crime show my wife watches where every other sentence they talk about trying to arrest the "unsub". Unsub, numbers matching, blah blah!

Default $600k 1967 Corvette 427 on eBay!

It does sound , but I don't believe he is really trying to sell it at that price... it's just good exposure, seen all around the world.

The car looks like it is very nicely done but at the end of the day, it will not sell for anywhere near its asking price. I have followed the pricing of these cars for years and I know that at the height of the market in 05/07 top tier red on red or black 435s were in the 400/450 range with a couple of sales that were even higher than that. With that car being white/saddle plus a coupe in a much worse environment, I would guess that its value is around 150K assumming its motor stamp is legit.

If it was untouched and as nice and as original as is alleged then IMO they're devalued it by "restoring" it. I think he's missed the "stupid money" period by a couple of years.

Dreamer. That's about six times what it's worth in today's market.

Yeah, people using terms that accurately describe something is just stupid! While we're at it, let's stop using descriptions period. In a car for sale ad they should just put "for sale". You know, even the term "for sale" is used too damn much. I say we ban all car sale ads. In fact, let's ban all words and just use ESP to communicate!

As a point of information and/or opinion, are the 435 coupe cars considered not as desirable as the 435 convertibles? . .

Eventual buyer will be happy he got it for the hard-negotiated bargain price of only $299,000.

The seller will be ecstatic, reinvesting the $$$ in his next deal, maybe a $1,000,000 exotic? Or the long-lost sixth original Grand Sport?

I love coupes and convertibles and both are very desirable but it seems that if all things are equal, a 435 convertible will definetely bring more than a coupe but like most things, there are exceptions.
