A new praud Corvette '78 owner from Europe
Hello to you all, just have to share my joy with you. Today night my Corvette should arrive from customs and I will see it for the first time. I have bought it from a copart auction. It’s a ’78 model, that runs and drives. I will start my restoration project. The goal is to get it back to look great and then tune it a bit. It is going to be a challenge, as in Poland, you can’t buy parts for such a car. Maybe all together we have 10 vintage corvettes in the whole country, I will need to import parts from US, which costs a lot and takes its time, but what can you do if you love American Muscle! Here you can see some pictures.
What do you think about it?

Ok, so the Vetta is finally here, drives great, just hae to love the car. The suspension is like it wasn't there and needs repainting and definitly welding the frame, as it is rusty.
So the first question here, how can I take the body of the car, what needs to be disconnected? Can you help me, any thread on this?
Here you have some more photos in front of my H-D repair shop.

welcome to the forum. Looks like your going to have lots of fun and get lots of looks, espically from "gear heads" over there. it might be wise to make a trusted friend over here to buy parts for you, then ship over..lots of "parts cars' here..which means a cheaper cost.Looks like a great project for you and the family. Dont forget the wave.

Not to rain on your parade, but that front suspension kit is not correct for your year Corvette.
You may want thing twice also about using poly bushings- do a search of the archives to learn why many people don't like them.

Yes, my mistake, it was suposed to by the correct set for my Vetta.
You say, poly bushing ducks, hmmm, they always worked for Harley's but Harley is not a Vetta

I think you will do just fine.
I know couple of Polish mechanics...they are very ingenious when it comes to fixing and repairing, I dont know how they do it but they can repair everything.

From the looks of the work you do on the bikes and the fact that you have your own shop I think you are better prepared than 1/2 the people on the forum to bring your car back to life.
Good luck and keep us up to date.
